Position Overview

As a NEMT Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting patients to and from medical appointments. This role requires a strong sense of responsibility, excellent customer service skills, and a commitment to safety and punctuality.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely transport passengers to medical appointments and back home
• Assist passengers with entering and exiting the vehicle when needed
• Ensure proper securement of wheelchairs and mobility devices
• Maintain a clean, safe, and well-maintained vehicle
• Follow assigned schedules and routes efficiently
• Provide courteous, respectful, and professional service at all times
• Communicate effectively with dispatch and team members
• Complete trip logs and required documentation accurately

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Previous driving or transportation experience preferred
• Ability to safely assist passengers with mobility challenges
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Dependable, punctual, and detail-oriented
• Ability to pass background check and drug screening

Preferred Skills

• Experience working in healthcare or patient transport
• Knowledge of local routes and navigation systems
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Familiarity with wheelchair-accessible vehicles and equipment

Work Schedule

• Full-time / Part-time opportunities available
